What is Christ Renews His Parish?
Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) is an experience and a process designed to further and support a person’s faith journey. CRHP was developed in 1969 and has been implemented in over 785 parishes in 29 states. It is centered around a parish
The weekend is an opportunity to say “yes” to a closer and deeper relationship with God. What happens on the weekend? The weekend is held at the parish and enables you to hear and discuss how Catholics function in our modern, complex, fast-paced society. The renewal weekend provides an atmosphere for individual spiritual growth through prayer and personal reflection. You can share conversation and thoughts (as much or as little as you desire) with others in the parish who also experience the many demands of everyday life presented by families, society and jobs. Mass will be celebrated during the weekend and the opportunity for Reconciliation will be provided. When and where are the weekends held? The weekend begins at 8:00 AM on Saturday and ends approximately 4:00 PM on Sunday. It is held at San Juan del Rio Parish. How does the process work? The weekend is conducted by a parish team made up of a priest and people who have attended previous weekends. The weekend can be made as a renewal experience with no further commitments. However, many participants choose to become members of the new team and present the next weekend. There are four CRHP weekends a year: two for women and two for men.
